Yesterday we came together and had an amazing day working on our camp project. We were able to install the last major obstacle,,, the generator. We were able under our own power raise the mast to full extent with a 8ftx8ft Army of Northern Virginia battle flag, and she was a beauty. The mast stayed up for over an hour before we started to loose pressure, which is very good. The alarm is working and was also able to work out the kinks in that. It seems all the whistle and bells are working on our project and amazing it truly is. A Lot of hard work, sweat and determination has been given by the camp on this project and it truly shows. There are some small minor additions that we are still looking at but for all intents and purposes, she is ready to go. Great and amazing job to all and can’t wait for her 1st deployment.
Confederate Memorial Day in Evergreen Cemetery was one outstanding event held on a beautiful Florida morning. . The theme of the confederate Memorial Service was family and Southern Fellowship while remembering the sacrifices of our ancestors. The event success was achieved with cooperation from local UDC Martha Reid Chapter.
